Les Rita Mitsouko came together in the spring of 1979 when guitar player Fred Chichin and isaac Bashevis Singer Catherine Ringer began on the job on the same theater production. Upon their low meeting, they were inseparable, talking until they accomplished they should take up the band together. Ringer decided to require on lyrical duties, piece Chichin became the resident physician instrumentalist. They debuted later that year, with Ringer on the reed organ and Chichin on guitar, spell everything else was prerecorded.
